We had an amazing stay at Valerie’s cabin! Every detail was thoughtfully curated, with plenty of amenities, a fully stocked kitchen, and a space that was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Valerie was also incredibly communicative. When there was a power outage, she promptly notified us and provided clear instructions for starting the generator. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Valerie’s cabin to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway!
We absolutely loved this cabin in the forest, it was such a perfect end to our trip. The cabin itself is spacious, extremely well equipped, clean, homely and magical, set right amongst the trees. Our children loved playing Cornhole on the deck, playing on the swing under the trees and toasting marshmallows on the firepit at night whilst gazing at the beautiful stars above. We also used the pool at the clubhouse which was amazing, also very clean, well organised and even had a little ice cream shop. Valerie was so helpful and communicative, she even contacted us immediately when we had left something important and she made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. We would really love to visit again one day :)
We absolutely loved our stay in Arnold! We felt welcomed & at home from the minute we arrived. Valerie thought of everything and more to make our stay seamless and as comfortable as possible. From the adorable kids room with books, toys, and nice baby gear to every kitchen amenity you could need, complimented with a sweet welcome basket & note, we truly couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful host. The cozy A-frame cabin filled with windows had beautiful views of the trees in a peaceful and secluded neighborhood. Valerie was also extremely responsive, sending local tips & checking on us to make sure we were comfortable. We loved the live music, cold beer & free range kids at the Lube Room, coffee & breakfast burritos from Bistro Espresso, and Sarafina’s for our takeout Italian night. Our dog loved swimming in White Pines Lake & our son was enamored with the logging museum! A must-do! We truly had the best time! Thank you for your hospitality. We can’t wait to come back.

Nice cozy cabin in a neighborhood. Everything was very convenient. Easy to get to state park and to the community pool, which is a huge plus in the summer. We appreciated how well appointed everything was at house and the clear communication. Check out felt very easy. Loved the rope swing and the fire pit for s’mores. Great stay and would recommend to friends visiting area.

Blissful pines was the perfect cabin for our family of five’s weekend getaway! The cabin was fully stocked with amenities and was a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores. It’s located right next to Big Trees State Park and is tucked away in the woods. Valerie was a great host, super friendly and very responsive.

If you’re not booking your stay here when you come to Arnold, I think you’re making poor life decisions 😏 Top notch customer service, responsiveness, personal touches and more. So much fun to spend the 4th of July weekend here. If you want a peaceful getaway in the mountains, this is your place!
Blissful Pines was the perfect family getaway. Located only 6 minutes from Calaveras Big Trees state park and 10 minutes from several lakes, we had the perfect combination of the outdoors with modern amenities. Valerie’s place was perfectly furnished and stocked, especially for children. The kids play area was a very thoughtful touch and our toddler absolutely loved it! We look forward to visiting and staying here again.
This is a super cute place in a beautiful neighborhood. Neighbors seemed very friendly. We didn’t get the chance to use the pool, but it looked awesome! Kids loved the swing outside!

The cabin was cozy, welcoming, and had everything we needed to make unforgettable memories. We loved being surrounded by nature, exploring the beautiful big trees, and just disconnecting from the everyday rush of life. Valerie made the entire experience so easy and enjoyable. Our family (and our dog!) felt right at home. We are leaving with full hearts, lots of memories, and so much gratitude for this special time together. First off the people that own this airbnb are gems! so sweet and communicative it made our stay so much better. the cabin itself is so cute and cozy and private. we’ve been to many cabins that don’t feel safe and we felt so safe here. we slept like babies! the neighborhood was the best part for us. it’s a great neighborhood that FEELS SAFE. which honestly can be rare. we loved the fire place and we cooked steaks on the grill which was beautiful. you’re surrounded by so much nature & the town was precious. we want to come back and go to the popular italian joint for dinner! loved loved our stay and will 100% be back!
This was our first time to this area of the Sierras and Valerie's place made my family and I feel right at home. Check-in was flexible and easy, the place itself was cozy and wonderful, not to mention clean and equipped. Valerie was very proactive and responsive, which is always comforting when you are in a new place. My family and I (including two young kids and two dogs) just loved our weekend getaway and cannot wait to return again. One thing that stood out to me in researching homes to rent in the area, was how many of Blissful Pines' previous guests had returned to Valerie's place on subsequent trips. That told me a lot about the home and the hosts. We now also intend to be return visitors!

This was the perfect home base for our family trip. The space was spotless and felt so cozy from the moment we walked in. We really appreciated all the extra comforts and amenities, like dog wipes and bowls, supplied by the host. The rope swing was a hit! This place made traveling with our 6-year-old and two large dogs so much easier. We’d love to stay here again!
This was the first place we stayed where it not only matched the photos but was far better than what the pictures showed in the listing. We loved it as soon as we walked in the door. It’s a beautiful home that is thoughtfully decorated, perfectly cleaned, and well-stocked with so many things you would need. We came here as new parents with our baby and our dog, and had the most perfect weekend getaway for our anniversary. My favorite part was sipping coffee on the couch with the beautiful trees in view through the giant windows right in front of you. I wish we stayed longer! We already can’t wait to go back.

We loved our stay! We felt right at home. The neighborhood is calm and peaceful, the house stocked and clean, and we were able to go sledding at a nearby snow park using the house’s sleds and Snow Pass! It was an awesome trip, and we’re also grateful that we could bring along our sweet dog too. Valerie helped us before and during our trip, and she was kind and responsive!
We needed a last minute getaway and we couldn’t have asked for a better home and host. The space was so clean and cozy. Just charming. Fully equipped home and even had a compartmentalized caddy full of extras including toothpaste, toothbrushes, wipes, chap stick etc. so nice! There was games for the kids, an outdoor fire pit and a personalized welcome package for us. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend.
We had the most wonderful stay at this cozy snow cabin! It truly felt like a winter wonderland getaway for our family. The kids were thrilled — we built snowmen right outside the front door and loved that there were sleds available for us to use! It made everything so easy and fun. There were plenty of games to keep the kids entertained, and the high chair (along with all the thoughtful child-friendly amenities) made traveling with little ones completely stress-free. Honestly, it’s the most well-equipped kid-friendly Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. Overall, it was a cozy, memory-filled stay. We would absolutely come back!
We decided to stay at Valerie’s cabin to see snow and did we ever! Despite getting snowed in by a freak snowstorm, Valerie was extremely helpful and communicative to make sure we were safe and comfortable. We had everything we needed and then some for our stay. We unfortunately didn’t get to finish our stay because of the severity of the storm but we will absolutely be back to enjoy the cabin and surrounding area in warmer weather. Our girls had so much fun with all of the provided toys, books and games. Our older daughter didn’t want to leave! The rooms were all immaculate and comfortable. I wish we had a chance to enjoy some of the outdoor amenities but they were buried in snow! Overall, we really enjoyed the property and can’t wait to come back and enjoy it to its full potential! And a HUGE thank you to Valerie for being so wonderful and helpful in the stressful inclement weather. You were an incredible host!

It was our first time taking the kids to Bear Valley and Valerie’s cabin was the perfect place for our family! It was comfortable for our group of 4 adults, 2 toddlers (3 & 4yo), and a baby. Valerie provided a pack-and-play for the baby and the kids’ room was nicely decorated with books and toys. The kitchen was equipped to cook meals and there’s a grill and fire pit for s’mores outside. There’s also sleds and a pass to borrow for the snow park. Valerie made things easy with a thorough guide to her home and for activities in the area, but she was always quick to reply whenever we had a question. We had such a lovely time in your home, Valerie. We will be back for sure!
This cabin was perfect for our little family. It was beautiful, cozy and adorable for our weekend get away. It has all the amenities you need and then some. She even had my favorite coffee creamer Hahaa And Valerie was fast in responding to me and a great communicator. I give Valerie and her place 5 stars! You will not be disappointed 👍
We had a great stay here. Easy access, and since it had snowed the week before, the area looked especially beautiful. We stayed with our 3-year-old and our dog, and both loved it. There were plenty of toys for our kid, and he was obsessed with the monster trucks. I was also able to get some work done at the desk upstairs. The internet was fast, with no issues during Zoom meetings. The kitchen was well stocked with decent supplies. The hosts also left a small welcome gift, which was a nice touch. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We loved this place! Set in the beautiful sierras in a private neighborhood it’s a stones throw from Arnold and a quick drive to Bear Valley. As a family of 4 and a doggo this place was great! Valerie had wonderful toys and books for our 3 year old and everything we needed for our 5 month old including a carrier, pack and play and bouncer! We were lucky enough that it snowed when we were there and Valerie provided sleds for the kids and a snowman making kit. We had a wonderful relaxing time and can’t wait to come back.

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin was even more adorable in person and had everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable. You could tell the host put a lot of thought into making her guests feel right at home from the gingerbread houses she left for our boys, to the fabulously stocked kitchen. The location was also perfect- we were able to enjoy morning nature strolls in the quiet neighborhood with the pup, hike in big trees, shop for Christmas gifts in Murphys and build a snowman up by the ski resort. A memorable, perfect trip.

Multiple Christmas movies, card games, and sunny adventures filled our weekend. Even though we had hoped for snow, we made the most of the beautiful December weather. Loved our short stay after Thanksgiving here. It was extremely peaceful, had all the ameninites we needed (and more), and was exactly the retreat we needed. Valerie even had it decorated for the holidays before we got there the day after Thanksgiving! She absolutely cares about this space and it's clear with the attention to detail. Communication was excellent, as well. Would highly recommend!

First of all, Valerie's communication was so quick that I have never seen a host's turn around time this fast. every time I send her message, I would get a message within a minute. super fast responsive. next I requested for an early check-in. she readily accepted. since this is the first time that I went to Arnold, I asked Valerie so many questions about the placesto visit etc and she answered all my silly questions with so much of patience. The house was so cute and cozy. My mom who is a senior citizen loved the house and could not stop admiring about anything and everything in the cabin. we stayed only 2 days but that was no sufficient at all. overall a very good house and a great host. I would definitely recommend booking with Valerie. no one can beat her response time.

Valerie was an amazing host. The house was perfect, down to the cute little logoed coffee cups. Every detail is thought about and I’ve never felt so welcomed and cared for as I did on this trip. It was also gorgeously decorated and made the perfect setting for my wedding getting ready photos. Valerie really went above and beyond ensuring our group was set for an amazing weekend, and for a bride that is DIY-ing her own wedding, any little thing taken off my plate meant the world to me. She even brought in a steamer, snacks, and an extra mirror for the bridesmaids. Oh it also has the best spice rack for cooking out of any Airbnb I’ve ever been to! My family had an excellent stay at this location! Check-in was extremely easy, the cabin was very clean and organized, and Valorie was responsive to anything we needed. We traveled with our two small kids and they loved all of the toys, books, and baby accommodations that were already at the location! My son particularly loved the basket of monster trucks. Valerie was an incredible host, her incredibly helpful home guide covered so many things, from places to eat, hikes and adventures, and how to use things in the house. We did zero research of the area in advance, and between the guide and her personal tips for hikes our older dogs could do, we had an easy action packed trip (with plenty of relaxation too). Valerie was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, and the home was absolutely lovely and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back! Blissful Pines was the perfect retreat for our family and Valerie was a great host. Exactly as pictured and described, this was easily the most well stocked rental we have stayed in. Kids loved the rope swing and we enjoyed many of Valerie’s local recommendations. For a place that allows pets, it was immaculate! It’s clear that Valerie takes a lot of pride in her cottage and I hope we will be able to return soon.

This was our first "glamping" experience with our little one and we could not have asked for a better experience. The little details went a long way for our family. Valerie blessed us with toys to keep her entertained, board games for us to play at night, and items to bring with us to the lake. Before leaving, we were already planning to come back. One tip I would suggest for people to consider: -The town down the hill (near White Pines Lake) does not have signal! Download Google Maps because you can easily get lost like us lol

We booked Blissful Pines on a last-minute whim to get out of the city, and into fresh country air and outdoor activities with our son. The cabin fit like a glove, providing a peaceful refuge and convenient base camp for hiking, swimming and spelunking. We loved the soaring chalet-style view into the forest, the record player to relax with, and sharing family meals at the beautiful dining table. The cabin was well stocked for our every need. Host Valerie was very helpful and attentive when needed, and clearly puts great care into the cabin and the guest experience. Well done!
Valerie's place was wonderful. It's in a beautiful and peaceful location. Valerie provided alot of helpful details about the home, the location and things to do. It was so helpful. She checked in with us, the day after we checked in, just to make sure we were doing well. The home is stocked with everything you might need, even things you didn't know you would need. Our trip was a mother/son trip to celebrate my son's high school graduation. Valerie even left a bouquet of balloons for my son to congratulate him on his graduation. Such a thoughtful gesture. Had an amazing stay at Valerie’s Cabin. Traveled with my kids and husband and our stay here was amazing. The place was fully stocked with a full kitchen, baby gear, entertainment and games for children and of course the beautiful outdoors! The kids absolutely loved exploring the outdoors and going for a swim at the local pool (5 mins drive away). The cabin is not only clean but also put together with so much detail- feels just like home. I would love to return and stay at this lovely cabin again.
We spent two nights at the Blissful Pines cabin for a gals (plus baby) getaway. Valerie was super helpful and communicative with us throughout the stay, a great host! We loved the guide she shared with us and we were able to utilize the firepit one evening of our stay. Having all of the baby items made the trip way easier on us and it was such a nice touch when traveling with a little one. There is only one bathroom, but we didn't find that too much of an inconvenience for any getting ready situations. (There is only a stand up shower so if you're planning to stay more than a night or two with little ones have a bathing plan, but once again, not an issue for us.) The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, even on a holiday weekend and we really enjoyed being in the trees/nature. Arnold itself is such a sweet little town and provides some great connection with nature. *Service is extremely limited so be sure you have your directions set before getting to Arnold!
Wonderful to be right in the Forrest, and so close to Calaveras Big Trees/Park. The map provided by the park shows the easiest trails to the Sequoia; good to read that map right away before driving the loop. Valerie provides a photographic book with writings of John Muir; his writings inspire the reason for this visit: “go to the mountains and get their good tidings.”

Valerie's place is a stunner! - We travel up into her area frequently for a get-away weekend and have rented many other houses in the area - this home is so superior to anything else we've stayed it it's not even in the same category. Things we loved: 1. the house was absolutely spotless 2. Valerie has fantastic style and taste and the whole house was filled with lovely little touches and details - it felt liked it was professionally staged. 3. We loved that there was lots of complementary toiletries under the bathroom sink incase you forgot something, cooking oils, spices, coffee, ect, in the kitchen, extra fluffy towels in the bathroom, nice throw blankets for the couch and beautiful linens on all the beds. This did not feel like an older cabin in the woods that always seems a bit musty, old fashion and dated. 4. they have a framed information sheet about the house and the area right by the front door. We had a wonderful weekend at this gem of a place - thank you Valerie!!!!

The cabin was spotless and well-stocked with everything I needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to a super comfortable bed. The fireplace made it extra cozy, and the outdoor seating area was perfect for morning coffee or stargazing at night. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, providing great recommendations for nearby hikes and restaurants. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, this place is an absolute gem. This cozy home in the woods was just the retreat we needed. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to town things and mountain activities. This home is quiet, thoughtfully stocked, comfortable, and we easily felt right at home and taken care of.
Our few days at the cabin were fabulous to say the least. The area was beautiful and a home away from home. The recommendations for the adventures and food were great. The calaveras big trees was so close and the exciting adventure and all the hikes it has. Valerie was great she let us check in early and was able to let us check out a little later. I love how even though they have WiFi available at the cabin it didn’t feel like we were completely off the grid. There were so many things to do around us but staying in and watching movies felt like we were at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. From spices to cups bowls and pots and pans.
I have so many amazing things to say about Blissful Pines! We have stayed in both summer and winter, and could not be more in love with the place. The house is local to lakes in the summer and snowy mountains in the winter. Our dog has especially loved walking through the peaceful neighborhood and playing in the big open spaces a close drive away. Valerie provides such a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable space for our little family. Her attention to detail is apparent and we are so grateful for the home away from home she's created! Every trip we have been so sad to leave, until we can begin planning the next opportunity for more time at Blissful Pines.
Fantastic stay! Very kid friendly and pet friendly. It was a great place to get away for the weekend as a family. Snow was very close but we were submerged in it. Restaurants were close but we weren’t in the hustle of the city life. The view from the living room into the forest was gorgeous and very relaxing.
Valerie's place is amazing! The property is gorgeous and the cabin is thoughtfully stocked and extremely cozy. Our kids had a ton of fun playing foosball and darts in the basement and loved playing outside. Even our dog felt right at home! Valerie was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We would return in a heartbeat.
I couldn’t have asked for a better cabin experience. Valeria was an amazing host she provided helpful information regarding places to see and explore. She also responds quickly which is a plus. The home is beautiful just like the photos. Kitchen is stocked with basically everything you need. Board games were provided which were fun to use. Thanks for providing a season pass to explore the snow. Wish check out was at a later time. I can’t wait to come back.
We loved staying here! The location was perfect. Very close to Calaveras Big Trees and sno parks for sledding with the kids. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was also beautifully decorated for the winter holidays. We cooked majority of our meals there and the kitchen was well equipped. It snowed one day at the cabin and the kids had fun playing in the snow out front. The fire pit on the deck was also perfect for roasting s’more’s. Valerie was extremely helpful with answering all my questions in a timely manner and providing recommendations. We loved the little welcome gift as well. Definitely recommend staying here and would come back again.
Place was amazing really well stocked for cooking. Beautiful location in the woods. There are houses nearby but you don’t hear anything. Valerie was a great host, very responsive and helpful.
Loved this cabin! My husband and I have made it a tradition to get a cabin in the woods between Christmas and New Years, and this one did not disappoint! It was very comfortable and spacious. We even were able to bring our dogs with an additional pet fee. Very convenient. It is only the two of us and our fur babies, but if we had kids or friends along it would have worked out just as well with the extra two bedrooms. Kitchen ad bathroom had almost all the supplies you could think of. Comfy living room with a wood burning fire place. It was exactly what we were looking for, and driving distance to such fun snow and redwood parks. Valerie was also a wonderful host, extremely responsive and nice. Definitely recommend!

Blissful Pines was the perfect chalet for our weekend getaway where we celebrated a milestone birthday with a few great friends. It is beautifully designed, fully equipped, and decorated nicely. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Blissful Pines! The home was cozy yet spacious, perfectly accommodating our family of five, a toddler, and our pets, who cozied up right away. There was plenty of room to gather for meals and lounging, but also enough space for naps, reading, or quiet time with our partners. The warmth and charm of the cabin were exactly what I was looking for in a family getaway. The kitchen, though compact, was incredibly well-organized. Every appliance had its place, making it easy to cook, bake, and stock the fridge with snacks and ingredients. We managed to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal without a hitch! Valerie, our host, provided thoughtful amenities for our 1-year-old, including toys, books, eating utensils, and sleeping arrangements, which made our stay so much easier. Both indoor and outdoor spaces were perfect for adventure and relaxation. Thank you, Valerie, for creating such a comfortable, family-friendly retreat. We can’t wait to come back!

Valerie the host was all over it, she was very quick and very easy to work with. Additionally her place was solid, the deck space was immense and the fire place was perfect to get the whole place warmed up quick! The upstairs was charming as a can be with all the kid stuff available to soothe them in their new environment!
We loved our stay .. peaceful … a great bar a mile away and 10 minute drive down the hill to coffee and an amazing Italian restaurant…. Great neighborhood to walk our dogs ! I really enjoyed the cabin and how well it was setup + clean

We absolutely loved staying in this charming cabin home. So many thoughtful items and touches. Every time I needed something, the first place I thought to look for it- there it was. There are so any things to do and see in the area and returning to this little home-away-from-home, was icing on the cake. Valerie was beyond helpful and responsive all along the way. pent a few nights here for our little ones 1st birthday and could not be happier. Valerie was a great host, very communicative, and always made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The space was nice, large and very peaceful and was fully stocked with all of the basics you would need. Also love that it’s dog friendly, our two boys definitely enjoyed the surroundings. I love that there was ample activities to do either in the house or around the neighborhood. Would definitely stay again!
My wife and I booked a last minute weekend getaway with our dog and our infant. We specifically picked Valerie’s cabin because the cabin was fully stocked with everything a parent needs for traveling with kids or infants. Her cabin is perfect for families. She also left custom to-go coffee cups which were perfect for taking our coffee on the road as we were checking out. Will definitely stay here again next time we come back to Arnold.
As first time parents, this was the best place we could stay to ease into travel with our baby. Valerie had several baby essentials so it was nice we didn’t have to haul everything for our get away. The place is very clean and close to lakes, national park, and cute towns! Valerie was also very attentive and helpful, she was able to squeeze us in -a bit before the regular check in time so we could make it to our regular nap time. We will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our stay at Valerie's chalet! She was in communication before, during, and after our stay. The cabin was clean, fully stocked, and well decorated. We really enjoyed the porch area! We shared meals at the table, sat out around the fire pit, and started our mornings out with coffee on the back deck looking out for wildlife. Valerie made it very easy for parents traveling with children. We appreciated the bookshelf, toys, kitchen utensils, and pack and play if needed! Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway. We had an amazing time celebrating my partner's birthday at Valerie’s chalet in Arnold! The cabin, tucked away in a beautiful forest, was the perfect setting for our getaway. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit and the cozy fireplace. The King bed was super comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. Plus, it was conveniently close to Murphys and Hinterhaus, which made for some great outings. The pet-friendly policy was a hit with our dog. Highly recommend this charming retreat for a memorable escape!
First time staying in the Arnold area, and after staying at Valerie’s cabin, won’t be the last! She was easily the friendliest most communicative host we’ve ever had! The place itself was immaculate. We ended up extending our stay as soon as we got there because it felt like home the moment we walked through the door! She provided the friendliest cabin one could hope for and did so many little things to make you feel like you were actually staying at a friends cabin. Magical, peaceful retreat in the pine trees! Amazing amount of deck space. Valerie is very thoughtful about stocking anything a guest might need for kitchen, towels or toiletries. The including paddle board was a highlight of our trip. Would recommend a stay at Blissful Pines and we will be returning!
Booked last minute to meet up with some friends that were staying in a different cabin up the road. Decided to make it a weekend trip with my girlfriend and her two dogs and this spot popped up and fit the bill! Everything about the space was great, just be aware that there’s an additional pet fee for booking (per dog, per night) that’s listed under the “house rules” section. The fee took me by surprise since it wasn’t included in the quote up front. Even after the additional pet fee, this space is still worth the price though! I’d definitely keep this spot in rotation for the next time I’m in the area, the kitchen is well stocked and it was great having plates and dinnerware for our night in with takeout from Arnold Chinese Restaurant :) Thanks Valerie!

A lovely updated cabin set among the trees. We loved spending time on the decks that line three sides of the home, reading in the Adirondacks, eating at the outdoor table, and gathering around the gas firepit. Valerie showed real attention to detail in the way the home was set up for guests and her responsiveness to my questions. I felt very cared for. Touches we particularly appreciated: the large powerful ceiling fan in the main space that kept the cool morning air flowing through the house, the paddleboard, beach chairs and towels that helped us enjoy the lovely local lakes, and our guest access to the very fun community pool area that has not one but two pools (one of the littles), plus ping pong, foosball, air hockey and more. We had a great time, extended our stay, and are already talking about a return visit.
